Providence County, home to Rhode Island’s capital city, is comprised of the state’s major urban hubs and the suburbs that surround them. Rich in history, Kent County cities like Providence, Pawtucket and Woonsocket harken back to the early days of industry. In fact, Pawtucket is known as the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.
