Housing Trends Stay Consistent in October

Warwick, RI -- November 21, 2018 – October saw much of the same in Rhode Island’s single-family home sale trends. The median sales price of homes sold last month continued to rise year-over-year for the 21st consecutive month while sales activity decreased for the eighth consecutive month.

RI Realtors Release September Home Sales Statistics

Warwick, RI – October 26, 2018 – The median price of single-family home sales rose 3.5 percent year-over-year to $270,500 according to September home sales statistics released today by the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. The supply of homes for sale also increased by 7.1 percent, a welcome sign for buyers whose options have been limited by a diminishing supply of inventory over the past two years.

Home Prices Increase in August While Sales Activity Slows

Warwick, R.I., September 27, 2018 - The median sales price of single-family homes in Rhode Island continued to climb last month, rising 5.9 percent since August of 2017 to $275,250. However, in a sign that the market is in no danger of overheating, sales of single-family homes decreased year-over-year in August for the sixth consecutive month, falling 3.3 percent.

Supply Begins to Grow in R.I.’s Housing Market

In July, the number of single-family homes for sale in Rhode Island increased year over year for the first time in 29 months according to the latest report from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. Last month marked the first time in nearly two years that single-family home inventory climbed above 4000. Sales activity lagged behind last year for the fifth consecutive month, which helped increase supply.

Realtors Release Second Quarter Sales Statistics

Warwick, RI…July 25, 2018 – The Rhode Island Association of Realtors and State-Wide Multiple Listing Service released second quarter Rhode Island home sales statistics today. At $280,000, the median price of single-family homes sold from April through June was the highest quarterly price in 11 years. The median is the point at which half the homes sell for more and half sell for less.

Median Price of R.I. Single-Family Homes Hits $290K in June

Warwick, RI – July 20, 2018 – The median price of single-family home sales continued to climb in June, rising to $290,000 according to the latest monthly sales report from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. The price reflects the highest monthly median price since July of 2006 and is just 2.8 percent less than the highest monthly median price on record. The median sales price has risen steadily since December of 2017. June’s median represents a 5.5 percent increase since June of last year.

May Median Price Hits Ten+ Year High in R.I.s Housing Market

Warwick, RI – June 20, 2018…The median price of single-family homes sold in Rhode Island reached $275,000 last month, a ten percent increase over May of 2017. Rhode Island has not reached a higher monthly median sales price since August 2007 according to a report released today by the Rhode Island Association of Realtors® and its subsidiary, State-Wide Multiple Listing Service.
