Ed
Lannon was born and raised in Cranston. He attended
Bishop Hendricken High School and was a member of the first
class to graduate from that distinguished school. Ed was a
member of the track team and excelled in the pole vault and
shot put. He was, also, a member of the wrestling team. Ed
continued his education at Providence College where he obtained
his accounting degree. He, then, conducted graduate work at
Suffolk University Law School. Ed was a member of the Air
National Guard for six years as an air traffic technician.
He was stationed at Otis Air Force Base and traveled to Niagra
Falls. Ed is married and has one child. Ed maintains a healthy
life style through golf, daily runs, and bi-weekly swims.
E. Lannon and Associates was the brain child
of James F. Lannon. The company was established in 1950 as
an insurance agency. When Ed joined his father, he obtained
his real estate license in 1970. In 1978, Ed joined forces
with John Gormally, deceased. John was responsible for the
creation of a new arm of E. Lannon and Associates, Inc., the
Townhouse Management Company, Inc. E. Lannon and Associates,
Inc. now offered Rhode Islanders professional real estate,
insurance, and property management expertise. Ed Lannon is
the president of a multi-million dollar sales company.
Ed is a member of the Cranston Chamber of
Commerce. He was the Vice President of the Rolfe Square Restoration
Committee. He is on the board of directors of the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS. He is the former Chairperson
of the McCauley Corporation and was responsible for the solicitations
of donations for the Sisters of Mercy. Through Ed's efforts,
$2 million was raised to procure housing for unwed mothers
who are struggling to attend school and maintain a roof over
their heads. Ed has recently been elected President of the RI Building Owners and Managers Association. Ed, also, solicits donations as the former Class
Agent for the Providence College Class of 1966.
Ed is not your average real estate broker.
His concern for his community is his number one priority.
He does not just throw money at problems; he actively pursues
solutions and makes them happen.
