Realtors Release Second Quarter Sales Statistics

Warwick, RI…July 25, 2018 – The Rhode Island Association of Realtors and State-Wide Multiple Listing Service released second quarter Rhode Island home sales statistics today. At $280,000, the median price of single-family homes sold from April through June was the highest quarterly price in 11 years. The median is the point at which half the homes sell for more and half sell for less.  Full Story

Median Price of R.I. Single-Family Homes Hits $290K in June

Warwick, RI – July 20, 2018 – The median price of single-family home sales continued to climb in June, rising to $290,000 according to the latest monthly sales report from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors.  The price reflects the highest monthly median price since July of 2006 and is just 2.8 percent less than the highest monthly median price on record. The median sales price has risen steadily since December of 2017.  June’s median represents a 5.5 percent increase since June of last year. Full Story

May Median Price Hits Ten+ Year High in R.I.s Housing Market

Warwick, RI – June 20, 2018…The median price of single-family homes sold in Rhode Island reached $275,000 last month, a ten percent increase over May of 2017. Rhode Island has not reached a higher monthly median sales price since August 2007 according to a report released today by the Rhode Island Association of Realtors® and its subsidiary, State-Wide Multiple Listing Service. State-Wide MLS Hires New VP of MLS & Member Services

Warwick, RI, June 13, 2018…The Rhode Island Association of Realtors and State-Wide Multiple Listing Service (MLS) has announced that John Breault will assume the position of Vice President, MLS & Member Services as of August 1st. Breault will be responsible for directing MLS staff in their efforts to advance the products and services of the organization to meet subscribers’ current and future needs. Single-family Home Prices Continue Upward Trend While Closing Activity Drops

Warwick, RI -- May 25, 2018 - Rhode Island’s median single-family home price rose 10 percent at the beginning of the second quarter while closing activity began to constrict, falling nine percent compared to April of 2017. The supply of homes for sale fell to 3190 last month, from 3569 12 months earlier. Full Story

R.I.’s Housing Market Shows Strong Price Gains in First Quarter

Warwick, R.I. – April 25, 2018…The Rhode Island Association of Realtors reported that the median price of single-family home sales increased 9.7 percent from the first quarter of 2017 to $252,250. Nineteen hundred and thirty-eight (1938) homes sold last quarter, down from 1982 sales in the first quarter of last year. Single-family home sales activity fell or stayed the same year over year in all but 17 of the 40 districts measured. Full Story

Realtor Data Shows Homes Sales Regained Strength in February

2017 Ends on a High Note with Home Prices Rising in Rhode Island

Warwick, RI, January 31, 2018 – The median price of Rhode Island single-family homes sales was $255,000 in December, an 8 percent increase from 12 months earlier according to statistics recently released by the Rhode Island Association of Realtors. Sales activity stayed relatively stable, falling less than one percent. There were 918 single-family home sales sold in the Ocean State last December compared to 927 in December of 2016. Full Story

Realtors Report New Record in Rhode Island Home Sales in 2017

Warwick, R.I. – January 18, 2018 – Rhode Island’s housing market continued to gain strength in 2017 according to the latest report from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and its subsidiary, State-Wide Multiple Listing Service. For the fifth consecutive year, the number of single-family homes sold rose year-over-year, eclipsing previous records. The data reveals that 11,282 single-family homes were sold in the Ocean State last year, up from 11,066 in 2016. The median price of those sales climbed 6.3 percent to $255,000. Full Story
