A native of Fairfield County, CT, Kristi fell in love with Providence's neighborhoods and their superb architecture while visiting her daughter at Brown University. After leaving the practice of law in Connecticut, she jumped into the Providence real estate market, first taking on the restoration of an 1876 Italianate mansard townhouse in Fox Point. After restoring the building's handsome exterior to its former glory, Kristi decided to "unveil" its next door neighbor. This small two-family carpenter's home dating from the 1850's had long ago been wrapped in ugly yellow aluminum siding. It is now the pretty home of young first-time homeowner occupants.

Kristi is a member of the board of the Fox Point Foundation for Historic Preservation and Revitalization, a neighborhood organization that seeks to preserve this historic neighborhood by encouraging owner-occupied multi-family homes and preserving and celebrating Fox Point's unique history and character. She is also a Trustee of the Providence Preservation Society. Kristi lives with her husband in the Ellen K. Buffum house, an 1881 stick-style home in Wayland Square.
