Merrilee has been selling residential Real Estate with Prudential Prime Properties in Middletown, RI, for over ten years. Prior to this she was a consistent top producer over a ten year span when she sold Real Estate on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
She is a member of Newport County Board of Realtors and Women's Council of Realtors.
In addition to selling real estate on Aquidneck Island, Merrilee operates the William Gyles Guesthouse in her lovely historic home which is located in the heart of Newport's Yachting Village.
Merrilee is a native of Seattle, Washington, and a graduate of Washington State University. She was in the fashion business in New York City for many years; managed the HI-USA Boston Hostel; and has run overseas tours through her former travel company, International Active Travel. She taught English while living in Greece, and managed the USO on the island of Guam. Her international solo journeys have taken her to nearly every corner of the world.
She is the Rhode Island representative for Servas, an international non-profit organization of hosts and travelers, and is on the board of the Council for International Visitors. She regularly sponsors international Navy personnel who attend the Navy War College. In addition to travel, her favorite hobbies are social dancing, biking, and volunteering for non-profits.
